Develop Students as GRE4T LEARNERS

Develop Your Students to be THE BEST Learners THEY CAN BE!

How are teaching methods helping students become better learners?

Fostering learning shouldn’t take a backseat to delivering content.

The research is clear–all classroom instructional  actions must focus on developing the students to  become the best learners they can be!

Teachers who cultivate self-directed learners leverage motivation, goal-setting, self-regulation, and feedback to empower students. By creating conditions where students can articulate their own expectations and reflect on their progress, educators foster true ownership of learning. Research shows that students who can thoughtfully assess their own performance accelerate their learning at more than three times the typical rate, with an effect size of .96 (Visiblelearningmetax.com)

Providing students with dispositional tools allows them to understand what good learners do and gives them the confidence to approach learning with a mindset to take on challenges and overcome obstacles! Help your students know what to do when they don’t know what to do.  CCE has adapted the work from Claxton et. al 2011 to support schools and classroom teachers in promoting four critical attributes of GRE4T Learners
